Prevvi Is Claude Certified: What That Means for You

Some news we are genuinely proud of: Prevvi is now Claude Certified. Andrew Wienen, our founder and CEO, earned the Claude Certified Associate credential from Anthropic, the company behind Claude, one of the most capable AI systems on the planet.

And no, before you ask, this was not a webinar with a badge run off the office printer. It is a real, proctored exam delivered through Pearson VUE, the same testing company that invigilates serious professional certifications, complete with someone watching to make sure you are not quietly asking Claude for the answers. He passed anyway, and if you like proof over promises, the credential is verifiable on Credly.

If that first sentence raised a few questions, like what a Claude certification even is, how hard it is to earn, and why an IT company would bother, this post is for you. Here is the plain-English version.

What a Claude certification actually is

A Claude certification is a credential you earn from Anthropic by passing a proctored exam delivered through Pearson VUE, with the training that gets you there living in the Anthropic Academy. It is not a sticker for signing up. It means the person holding it has been trained to actually use, build with, and deploy Claude in real production settings, and to do it responsibly.

This matters because “we use AI” has quietly become the emptiest phrase in business. It carries about as much information as “we use electricity.” Anyone can type a question into a chatbot. A certification is the difference between someone who has used AI and someone who has been formally trained and tested on how to apply it well. Anthropic says more than 10,000 consultants have now earned a Claude certification, and the number is climbing as serious firms invest in verified skill instead of vibes.

How hard is it to get?

Honestly? Harder than a quiz, easier than a degree, and that is by design.

The Claude Certified Associate credential lives in Anthropic’s Foundations track, which is the entry level of the program. It is built to be attainable with focused study rather than years of specialist experience, so it is a genuine starting line, not a victory lap. But it is a real, proctored exam, delivered through Pearson VUE and covering how Claude works and how to apply it properly. You study, you sit it, and you either pass or you do not.

Above Foundations, the certifications get harder and more specialized, which brings us to the rest of the ladder.

The other certifications available

Anthropic built its program in tiers, so there is a clear path from broad fundamentals up to deep technical mastery:

1. The Foundations track, including the Claude Certified Associate credential our founder just earned. This is the grounding: how Claude works and how to use it well.
2. Role-based technical certifications, such as the Claude Certified Architect, aimed at solution architects who design and build production applications on Claude.
3. More on the way. Anthropic has said additional certifications for sellers, architects, and developers are rolling out through 2026, so the ladder keeps getting taller.

Earning the Associate credential is how you step onto that ladder. It is step one of a deliberate climb, and we intend to keep going.

Where partnership comes in (and where Prevvi stands)

Here is the part that connects a personal credential to something bigger. Anthropic runs a formal Claude Partner Network, backed by a 100 million dollar investment, for firms building their businesses around Claude. Its partner tiers are measured largely in one currency: certified people.

The tiers, per Anthropic’s own program details, run like this:

• Registered, the entry level, where new firms commit to building a certified bench.
• Select, which requires at least 10 active certified individuals, plus real customer deployments and a public success story.
• Preferred and Global Premier above that, with the bar climbing into the hundreds and then thousands of certified individuals.

Notably, Anthropic applies the same bar to everyone. A ten-person shop and a global consultancy are measured identically; size does not buy you a tier, a certified bench does.
